House Update Nov. 13, 2006

This is our laundry room. We will finish the cabinets later and the sink has not been installed yet. You can see it there on the right on top of the counter. The washer/dryer will go next to it.

This is the kitchen. The two stoves will go under the arch and I have pull-out spice cabinets on either side. You can also see the pizza oven to the right. We will cover the arch with rock that is the same as the outside.

This is also the kitchen. Of course, the refrigerator goes in the big spot. To the left of that will be a small prep sink in the counter. I will also have an island in the middle of the kitchen with my big sink and dishwasher and LOTS of cabinets. They are still finishing the doors for that and will deliver it as soon as our driveway is done because they need to drive around to the door to do it.

These are my latest house pictures. I was going to take pictures of the outside yesterday too, but it was so windy and yucky that I thought I would take some later. They are almost done with the pavers (for now, we will do more later) and are waiting for the ground to dry up a bit before we pour the concrete for the curb cut for the driveway. We also put up columns for the trellis that will go between the house and detached garage. Two of them blew down the night before last (we had terrible winds) and shattered. Tim and the guys spent yesterday putting two new ones up and bracing them. Last night it was really windy again, but they stayed up. Praise God! They are trying to finish the trellis ASAP to give it more stability. Hopefully the weather will get better and I can get some outside pictures later this week.

Your kitchen looks great and it sounds like it is going to be perfect!! I made a mistake when we built ours and forgot to add a second oven. I would like to redo our kitchen someday and then add the second oven. Anyways, it really looks great!

Thanks, Emily. I am so glad we put in two stoves. This means eight burners and we can convert four of them to a grill or griddle. Plus having two convection ovens is going to be awesome! I am really hoping to be able to cook for Christmas.
