Our Vacation--Day 1

Before I start my vacation review, I want all of you who really know me to realize that I took over 90 pictures this vacation. For me, that is amazing! I am the person who brings my camera everywhere and then FORGETS to take pictures. All this blogging has been very good for that, plus my girls laughed at me every time saying, "You're going to blog that, aren't you?" So blogging is really good for me...right?

Okay, for those few of you who didn't know where we were going for our vacation.....tada.....we went to Disneyland! Of course, this did not include my three oldest girls who all found out where we were going because I had to make reservations online and since our computer is in the living room, they saw what I was doing (as secretive as I was trying to be). Tara did not know, however and so after we got in the car and got going (not until 12n , by the way...we are soooo slow), I gave her a pin that had been sent to us with our tickets that had Pluto on it and Disneyland below it. She was VERY excited, you can see below.

It is not a short drive for us to Disneyland so the girls spent much of the day sleeping and watching movies (none of them are able to read in the car without feeling sick). I played with my new GPS a lot (it was the first long trip with it and since I wasn't driving, I got to see all the things it could do), read and watched movies on my iPod as well as visited with Tim. We also have Sirius radio in the car and he got to choose whatever station he wanted since everyone else was busy doing other stuff and there was no complaining.

Tara watching "Peter Pan"...I got it for her especially for the trip

Jenna and Sammy watching something on Sammy's computer

Tara falls asleep

Alyssa doesn't look very happy with me taking her picture

Tim drove the whole way...I drive too slowly for him, so unless he is too tired, he just keeps going

Sammy and I take a self portrait

We finally arrived at about 10pm, totally tired, but excited to start the vacation the next day. We had two hotel rooms and the girls thought it was so great to have their own room (it was next to ours, however).
