No Phone or Internet--Boo Hoo!

I am a ding dong! I had called a while ago to get our phone switched over to the new house and then, in changing over my organizer, forgot to call them to not change it just yet. So, Friday morning Tim tries to call someone and there is no dial tone. Aaaaagh! I remembered what I had done and quickly called to try and fix the situation. Of course, to switch it back is more complicated and costly than just letting them switch it. I called our "smart wiring" guy to ask him what we needed to do to set up phone service and the internet. Fortunately, he was almost there and so came out Saturday morning and help me set up both. Unfortunately, I have to come over to the new house to fully check my email (I can check it on my phone) and I have to call a few times a day to check my voice mail. Actually, if Tim is over at the new house, I won't check it during the day, but will check when he is not here or in the evenings and mornings. This is all actually a good thing because it really keeps me off the internet and focused on packing and getting ready to move. I can spend waaaay too long on the computer sometimes.

Other than that, we had a normal weekend. My women's worship team sang Sunday morning at church and it turned out really well. We sang a song we had done for our women's retreat last year. Also, our worship team sang with the band (we are doing that every three weeks). Tim was exhausted on Sunday and worked for a little while on grout and then came home and we watched football. I really have missed watching it with him this year because of the house, etc. We had all kinds of snack food and relaxed.

Yesterday I worked on getting our homeschool work in the computer for the next 6 weeks so I can focus on packing and moving. Today, I got everyone going on school and made Chicken Provencal for the crockpot and then came over to the new house to check email, internet stuff and blog. I will go home in a little while and make a menu and grocery list, finish up laundry and straighten up the house so the girls can go to Bible Study tonight. This is the first time Alyssa will be able to drive to Bible Study and I DON'T have to pick them up. Yeah!

In my internet handicap I will still try and post as many blog posts and pictures as I can. Here are a few of the house. Tim is working on the island this week.

Here are the latest house pictures. Everything has construction dust all over it so don't mind that, but it gives you all an idea.

Smart wiring panel...I helped with this...okay, not a lot, but a little!

I'm sure I would freak out a little with no phone OR internet (gasp!), but I would quickly take secret pleasure in being unavailable and being forced to stop my habit for a few days (but only for a few days, lol).

I guess I wouldn't care about the phone too much because it is my least favorite thing to do . . but I would go nuts without the internet :-)
