One Day Down

Today I was kept very busy by church and then other activities afterwards. Our pastor is doing a marriage series (which is such an irony for me with Tim being gone). Today was about dealing with conflict and it was another in a great series. My girls have even felt like they are getting something out of this series for future reference. I sang at both services and had to be at church early to make sure the stage was set up for our guest interviews. We have been interviewing a different couple each week about something to do with our topic and I am helping set the stage each week. We have been using couches and chairs, etc. to make it look kind of like a living room and rearranging them each week to go along with the couple speaking.

Jenna wasn't feeling well and stayed home from church. Since I was at church so early, I told Alyssa she would have to drive herself and Tara, however, since she didn't realize Jenna was sick, she didn't have Jenna to get her up after her usual shower for church so Alyssa overslept and didn't end up being there either. Sammy had spent the night at a friends and came to church with her.

After church I came home and got ready to take Tara to a birthday party and then Tim called. Of course we all had to talk to him since we don't know when we will hear from him again so Tara and I ended up being late for the party. We stayed a while there and I took a few pictures (I am not the greatest at remembering to take the pictures even though I remember the camera). A few of the same kids that saw Tim off yesterday morning were at the party and they had to remind me to take them. I really need to work on that.

Afterwards we came home and I ran to the neighbors to return a key and ended up talking for a couple hours! The wife and I have the same birthday and are going to go to dinner this week to celebrate. She is going to call tomorrow, but I think we are going to Charlie Palmer's Steakhouse! I have never been there before, but have been wanting to try it so we shall see how it is.

Tonight we relaxed and watched a few Tivo'd episodes of Monk and Psych. The new seasons of shows start tonight and so I am trying to watch what I have Tivo'd already before we start new stuff.
