Tuesday was spent unpacking and cleaning up from my being gone. I also had to go to the church to do my set design for the stage and ended up spending two hours there. The older girls had Bible Study that evening and Tara and I had a quiet evening at home. Wednesday, I went grocery shopping and then all my new "kids" came over to make homemade pita chips and film for Tim's special "Halo 3" movie they are making to send him. I made enchiladas for everyone, including Master Chief, as you can see. He also seemed to enjoy the pita chips. Actually, we made pita chips to send to Tim. Tim likes sweets, but he is not a big sweets eater so I am trying to think of other things to send him. He does love my pita chips (which are super easy to make) so we are sending him some of those because I know his mom was going to send him cookies this week.
I picked up our pumpkins this week...Tim usually carves with the girls so this year's pumpkins will be MUCH simpler. He is way more artistic than I am
Master Chief was very hungry and had enchiladas AND pita chips
Thursday was Tara's birthday and also our super busy day. We had Bible Study in the morning and then homeschool co-op in the afternoon. That evening I had to be back at the church for worship team and choir, Sammy had to do childcare, and Jenna helped with the junior high group. Fortunately, they are all at the church and it is VERY close to our house (about 2 miles). Unfortunately, because our day was so busy, I didn't get a lot of pictures of the day. I did get some video, though, so I can send it to Tim when I make his DVD of the week.
Friday I FINALLY got to laundry and cleaning up the house. I also had to renew my driver's license (which I had forgotten to do before my birthday and so it was expired....chalk it up to my old foggy brain) and go to the bank. The kids who are making Tim's movie came over to do some more filming. While they were there Tara decided she wanted to climb into her backpack. I am not sure why, but the kids got pictures. It was also the older girls' homecoming game and Alyssa had to organize the color guard so they went to the game and Tara and I stayed home and relaxed. Well, actually, we had to take this weekend's 49er tickets to Brandon to sell because I just couldn't make it to another game this weekend and spend another weekend away. I was going to take Tara, but told her I would take her and her friend Megan to the movies instead (it will be way cheaper too). She wants to see "The Gameplan" since it is a movie about football and we are missing the football game. Oh....the logic of a six year old. After we got home, we had leftover enchiladas for dinner (she actually liked them....she is a super picky eater and is just expanding her eating repertiore). We watched a movie and then went to bed to read stories.
