Today I took our dog, Duncan, to the vet's for his last set of shots for a while. He does not really like going to the vet's much because every time we have gone so far he has had to have shots. He has even started not letting the vet look at his teeth while we are there. Now, I am taking him to training and doing everything I can to get him used to being poked and prodded and he does fine, but he does not like to do this at the vet's. After this trip, I do plan on bringing him in to weigh him every few weeks or so because he is gaining so quickly and also so he doesn't think the vet's is a terrible place to be. They also do some day boarding that I might take advantage of so they can spoil and pamper him and let him know they are not terrible.
Anyway.....drum roll....we had him weighed and he came in at a whopping 59.7 lbs. And, yes, he is not even four months old yet (he will be on Jan. 9th). He is going to be a huge dog, but, of course, I did know that. We are taking bets on how much he will weigh when Tim gets home. I think he will be between 75-80 lbs.
And, no, we haven't taken down our Christmas tree yet. That will happen this weekend, I am determined.
