New Years and New Calendars

Well, I finally got my 2009 calendars updated!  Usually I have them done before the beginning of the year, but with the crazy Christmas we had and Alyssa leaving, I didn't get to them until Jan. 7.  I color code my activities on the calendar for each person (I have taken the wrong child to an orthodontist appointment and learned my lesson....they just laughed when I brought her in and rescheduled) by using return address labels I have printed with different color outlines for each person.  As I look at this new year's, however, I am a little sad that there are no blue boxes on the calendar.  Blue was Alyssa's color and she doesn't have anything on it for now.

I also did finally catch up on laundry, which, of course, only means I only have a couple of loads to do every day instead of 5-6. 

Shelly got to come over to the house and see it for a few minutes, but she was still staying with my mom for another night so she went home with her.  I definitely need to think of some fun things to do for the next few days so we don't just sit around....movies, shopping, etc.  Any ideas?  I know Saturday we have to get ready for my brother, Steven's, birthday pizza party and I do have a couple of things I would like to shop for (Shelly is the queen of shopping and I usually save all my clothes shopping for when she comes because it is much more fun that way).  I'll have to think about that.
