Does anyone else feel like after their vacation, they need about a week to recover and catch up...even if you weren't gone for a week?
Yesterday, we got up and finished unpacking the car, started laundry, made a grocery list and went to the grocery store. Now, I don't mind grocery shopping, especially if I get to be alone, but I had not done a real big shopping since we moved and then before we left I was just trying to get us to eat up all the leftovers (since I had made casseroles for the move, we ate those before we left). It seemed like it took me forever because we were out of everything! Yesterday Tim asked if we wanted to have people over for dinner and I did think about it for a minute (in my trying to show more hospitality), but said "no" that I thought I had waay too much to do. Today I am still trying to finish catching up laundry, bills, blogging, school planning and straightening up the house so we can have my in-laws over tomorrow night for dinner for St. Patrick's Day (another reason I did not feel compelled to have anyone over last night...once a week to have people over is good for now). I know...I know, St. Patrick's Day is today, but Tim went back to work today so we will celebrate tomorrow. Yesterday he helped unpack, got a load ready for the dump and went to pick up our blinds (woo hoo!) and a TV for his mom and dad. When he got home, we made pizza (gotta get my at least once a week use of the pizza oven in) and watched American Idol from last week. We already knew who had been booted, but wanted to watch anyway. Tim couldn't install the blinds because a)it was too late and b)they did not come with instructions. The guy who sold us the blinds and windows is getting the instructions, but since they will probably be in Polish (the windows/blinds are from Poland) he will have to come over Monday or Tuesday to help Tim translate. Oh well, what's another few days.
After looking at my "to do" list, I realized I had better get busy!

Wow! You have been busy! I am like you when it comes to the grocery . .I don't mind going as long as I go by myself. I like to get in and get out!
OH GOOD!.....Since you are already into entertaining....The Matulich's and their 9 pets need a place to call home for about 10 days or so during our transition/move. I am sure you can accomodate and it will be no big deal....especially with all those concreet floors!
Yes, I always feel like I need a vacation after I return from a vacation. Something about traveling with children, in particular, that causes this phenomenon. :) Glad you had such a wonderful trip!
I ALWAYS need a catch up week after vacation.... a one week vacation becomes two for us just because there is so much to do when you get back... sometimes makes one wonder if it's worth leaving in the first place (LOL).
