The Electronics Revolt Continues

For those of you who don't know....we have been having an electronics revolt in our house from about a few weeks before Tim left. First, our washer wouldn't work (quite an emergency with 5 girls in the house). Next our TV went out (we thought it was the lamp, but we put in a new one, but that didn't work so we had to take it in to get fixed) and it turned out to be the light engine. We also have had to replace our DVD player (a DVD recorder because we need to be able to record the 49er games for Tim this year and send them to him) and our coffee maker. I thought it was over until my laptop came up with the black screen of sadness. I refuse to call it the black screen of death because I really don't want to have to buy a new laptop. I did talk to some computer guys and they suggested I call the Geek Squad, but I have a friend who repairs computers so I called them. They should be here tomorrow afternoon and will, hopefully, be able to repair it. I am really hoping this is my last electronic emergency. So far everything else has been taken care of except the TV, which I found out today may not be ready for three weeks or so.

I do have to say that, on a positive note, none these problems has been something we couldn't deal with. No permanent damage has occurred to anything so it is almost kind of "funny" at this point. I really am hoping the revolt is over, though.

TOO FUNNY to hear you talking of electronics/appliance revolt..... it must be something to expect when one's spouse goes on deployment... I remember this from DeEtta's blog.
