Halo 3 is Released!

For those who don't know, Tim is a HUGE video gamer. Since that is his one big thing that he does for relaxation for himself, I totally encourage it. He plays at home some, but takes them to the fire station and they all play and have big tournaments in their free time. He has played all of the Halo games when they have come out (okay, there have only been two). Halo 3 was released today and it was probably one of the biggest video game releases ever! Well, since he is gone, it was up to me to venture to the video game store to pick up his reserved copy so I can send it to him. Well, of course, Tim's new fan club had to accompany me to take pictures and film it so we can include it on his weekly DVD. It was actually kind of fun. We made a big deal out of it and the clerks in the store thought it was pretty funny since we told them all what we were doing. It's amazing to me how many people will indulge you in fun things you want to do when your spouse is deployed. I am taking full advantage of it.

Otherwise, I went to set up the stage at church today for our Sunday sermon and ended up staying quite a while visiting and making sure everything was set for Sunday since I won't be there and am having to delegate some tasks to other people. I came home afterward and found the kids here playing Halo 3 and telling me how awesome it was. Of course, we got video of that as well.

The girls had Bible Study tonight so I borrowed Sammy's laptop to catch up on the blog and emails.
