I haven't felt great the last few days and haven't blogged much. Some stomach thing that is going around. Not enough to incapacitate you, but enough to make you not feel like doing ANYTHING! These have been nice, quiet days....which I do enjoy. Yesterday our friends that we tailgate with came to visit and see our house. They hadn't seen it yet, only pictures and it was fun visiting with them, even if just for a short time. They brought their two HUGE Great Danes...one of which is almost as tall as Tara....and they are only 7 months and 15 months.
The girls have been in and out lately with friends, going to movies, or Alyssa had to work last night. I am still trying to get my house cleaned and I need to get all my bills taken care of (including our INCREASED property tax bill...if your house is a certain percentage completed, you get a tax increase) and get all my calendar and Outlook stuff straightened out. Up until getting this new cell phone on the 1st, I have had a Palm OS PDA and I am switching to Windows OS. Well, my Palm synced to my Palm desktop programming and I have to put everything now into Outlook so my new phone will be able to sync to that. I want to get this done before I get my new phone because then I can just sync it and play with the fun aspects of it. Also, my GPS program came yesterday and, of course, I had to take some time to play with the desktop portion of it. I will get to play with the rest after I get my phone and load it on.
Today I went to the house and talked to the guy who is "smartwiring" our house. I needed to find out what I will need to do to hook up internet, etc. when we move and he needed to know what else he needs to get. He has internet access wired EVERYWHERE in the new house so we can use it in the living room, kitchen, etc. He is also doing our central vacuum system and I need him to let me know about how much that will cost. Our current Kirby (20 year old) is getting close to it's last leg and I don't want to buy another new vacuum when we are getting the central vac. Aaaah....the cost of building a new house and moving.
I need to go pay bills, etc. now, but I really just feel like sleeping. I haven't slept well the last few nights because of this stomach thing and then last night our battery died in the Carbon Monoxide Detector and it started chirping and I couldn't figure out if it was the that or the smoke detector (it was 3am). I had to get Tim to get up and help me. Oh well, such is life.

Diann - what a blessing. Your new home is truly a dream home. Praying all goes well in the next few weeks as you count down to moving.
