The Loft and Trip Home--Sunday Night/Monday

Sunday night we went to the loft and it only took us about 20 minutes. Last time we got lost and so it took much longer, but we kind of knew where we were going and I had bought a new California map book. Last time I had found the directions on Yahoo, but there was a street closure and it messed us up.

I didn't really comment last time, but this loft is amazing! It reminds me of something you would see on a TV program. It is really modern and industrial (I wouldn't decorate my own house this way, but it is really cool).

We left Monday morning at about 11am from the loft to come home. Traffic wasn't bad at all and we stopped on the way home for lunch and to refuel the car. We got home at about 5pm (after a stop at the house) and Tim took Alyssa to work. She got a ride home later from a friend she worked with. Tim and I finally watched The DaVinci Code and Tim really wants to hear some of the stuff I have gotten refuting his supposed "finds" about how the church hid the truth of Jesus, etc. I fell asleep part way through the movie so I need to finish it today while I am making our grocery list and doing some other paperwork. If I hadn't read the book I would watch the movie more closely, but I basically know what happens.

Diann,

I missed this somehow.. what is the loft? An overnight place or something?

The loft as in our neighbors' loft. They have a loft in the city that they have graciously invited us to stay in whenever we are there. He only uses it once a week and so it is vacant the rest of the time. It is 15 minutes or so from the football stadium when we go to games and, best of all, free for us!
